Frequently Asked Questions
Will my dog be homesick or stressed?
Most dogs adjust within the first couple of days. Our facility is structured to keep your dog engaged, active, and comfortable throughout the program — training itself helps build confidence, which often reduces anxiety rather than increasing it. Trainer does bonding exercises with your dog to help them settle in.
Can I visit or get updates during the program? [
We do ask as a courtesy to us that you not visit the first week when the dog trainer bonding process is taking place. After that you can visit after that time frame. We will also provide status, pictures and videos upon request.
What happens when we pickup your dog?
We go through our training information form so we can get care instructions and to understand your training goals. We will also retrieve vaccination records, food and half the training fee.
What happens when the 3 weeks is done?
We return the dog to you and have a 2 hour lesson to transfer control of the dog back to you and walk you through the commands. The balance of the training fee is due at that time.
What if a new behavior starts after training or if a command starts to weaken?
All board and train programs come with unlimited follow-up, so all you would need to do is give us a call and we will come out and help.

We’ll discuss your dog’s behavior, your goals, and whether Board & Train is the right fit. If you move forward, we schedule the pickup date and time.
3 — DOG IS PICKED UP AND TRAINING STARTS
Your dog settles in for 2–3 days with bonding and play. Structured training then starts. The first two weeks focus on teaching the core skills; the third week proofs them in real-world situations and off-leash.
4 — YOUR DOG COMES HOME
We return your dog and spend 2 hours teaching you exactly how to maintain the training. Unlimited follow-up support is included for the life or your dog.
